Unity Cupby Reading Muslim

Terms and code of conduct

These terms apply to teams entering the Unity Cup by Reading Muslim, hosted by Reading Muslim (registered charity 1061208).

Eligibility

This is a men's tournament, open to teams from all backgrounds. Every player must be male and aged 16 or over on the day of the event. Where any player is under 18, the team confirms that parental or guardian consent has been obtained. The named contact is responsible for ensuring their whole squad meets these requirements.

Entry fee and refunds

Entry is £100 per team, paid online at registration. Entry fees are non-refundable if a team withdraws or does not attend.

Cancellation or postponement

If the organisers have to cancel or postpone the event, we will offer to transfer your entry to the rescheduled date. Where that is not possible, any refund is at the charity's discretion. This is separate from the no-refund position on team withdrawals above.

Code of conduct

This is a community event with a message of unity and safety. All players, coaches and supporters must behave respectfully towards each other, the officials and venue staff. Violence, abuse, threatening behaviour and discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated. The match officials' decisions are final. The organisers may remove any individual or team that breaches this code, without refund.

Photography and media

Photographs and video may be taken at the event and used to promote the Unity Cup and Reading Muslim. You can indicate your consent at registration, and you can contact us at any time to discuss your preferences.

Participation and liability

Players take part at their own risk and are responsible for their own fitness to play. The venue's own rules and safety requirements apply throughout. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law.

Data protection

We handle your details in line with our privacy notice.
